Ian Henderson, the man behind this brand, was born and raised in Zimbabwe, educated in Australia and now lives in London. With a love for travelling, food and entertaining, Ian set out to encompass and share his zest for life by creating The Pink Elephant. Unlike the "regular elephant in the room" which we sometimes fail to address, the Pink Elephant is far too fabulous not to be spoken about. While ‘pink’ represents our flamboyant, playful and eccentric spirit, the ‘elephant’ traces back to Ian’s magical African upbringing and the idea that our creative presence in a space is striking, eye-catching and cannot be missed.
Established as a ‘passion project’ two years ago, The Pink Elephant has now flourished into a thriving and ever-evolving platter and events styling business in London. What’s more, The Pink Elephant proudly supports over 30 small businesses within the UK. Initially targeting small businesses in the food industry, the exciting growth of our brand has inspired us to expand into the wider hospitality industry. Offering an extravagant ‘Safari’ of grazing platters, picnic boxes, bubbles, flower arrangements, tablecloths and table décor, The Pink Elephant marries food and art through preparing personalised, fun and chic occasions with a distinguishable flair!

With a deep desire to bolster independent and local businesses, The Pink Elephant takes pride in nurturing many relationships with small, thriving enterprises across the food and hospitality industry in the UK. As previously mentioned, our brand proudly supports over 30 small businesses, and thus we are gifted with the choice of a wide selection of delicious and carefully sourced foods. This includes a range of Italian and Spanish meats, moreish nuts, juicy olives, homemade hummus dips, baked goods such as brownies, cupcakes, nougat and honeycomb and so much more! In turn, some of these small businesses play important roles in uplifting local communities and projects in places such as Malawi and Kenya including The Kenyan Crafts Company, who are responsible for all our beautiful placemats.

In Zimbabwe, “Shamwari” translates to “my friend” in the Shona language, which perfectly describes the nature of this package. What better way to spend some quality time with friends than over a selection of mouth-watering food platters, chilled bubbles and additional spoilings!
THE PINK PIZZAZZ
Go all out with our most luxurious event package, The Pink Pizzazz! This all-encompassing experience includes a grazing platter, award-winning bubbles, a bespoke floral arrangement, a complimentary tasting box, the hiring of our very own tablecloths, napkins and more!
